THE ESSENTIAL AND CONTENT OF THE ORIENTATION FOUNDATIONS
OF INFORMATION ACTIVITIES OF TEACHERS

Abstract.
The paper is devoted to the activity theory problems directed on solving information problems arising
in the course of vocational training of teachers. The notion of information activity and its trends and kinds are consid-
ered. The orienting part role in activity formation is analyzed. The definition of the orienting basis of information activ-
ity is formulated. Its basic characteristics are defined and the content of each structure component is revealed in connec-
tion with teacher education.
