THE CRIMINAL LEGISLATION OF RUSSIA: RUSSKAYA PRAVDA

Abstract.
Institute of confiscation of property is known throughout the development of the domestic criminal
law and is almost always in criminal law of Russia, he acted as one of the most effective forms of punishment. The arti-
cle analyzes the norms of criminal law of Ancient Rus', allowing to note the high potential of the punitive impact of this
institution associated with punishment for crimes infringing on the property (property).
